Wells Pirates (Wells, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Centerville Bulldogs (Groveton, TX), 85-59 in a league bout.

With the win, Wells upgrades its record to 10-9 on the season. The Pirates travel to Martinsville (Martinsville, TX) to play the Pirates in a 1A Region IV District 27 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 12-7. Martinsville lost 47-46 in their recent league bout against Laneville (Laneville, TX)
