Covington Trojans (Covington, IN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Riverton Parke Panthers (Montezuma, IN), 69-37 in a league bout.

With the victory, Covington upgrades its record to 7-6 on the campaign. The Trojans host West Lafayette (West Lafayette, IN) to play the Red Devils in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Red Devils come into the bout with a record of 7-4. West Lafayette won 61-54 in their recent non-league bout against Harrison (West Lafayette, IN)

Next up, the Panthers play the Attica Red Ramblers (Attica, IN) in a Wabash River bout, on Friday, January 12. Riverton Parke will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record. The Red Ramblers come into the bout with a 1-10 record after their 61-19 non-league loss to Tri-County (Wolcott, IN).
