Georgia High School Basketball - Effingham County over South Effingham

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Effingham County Rebels (Springfield, GA) and the visiting South Effingham Mustangs (Guyton, GA), saw Effingham County's basketball squad overcome South Effingham by a tally of 70-54.

With the victory, Effingham County improves its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Rebels host Lakeside (Evans, GA) to confront the Panthers in a AAAAAA Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 9-4. Lakeside won 73-61 in their recent league challenge against Glynn Academy (Brunswick, GA)

Next up, the Mustangs confront the Grovetown Warriors (Grovetown, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 2 challenge, on Saturday, January 6. South Effingham will attempt to improve on its 0-10 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 63-49 non-league win over Keenan (Columbia, SC).
