January 5, 2024: Fowler, CO 81039 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Fowler Grizzlies (Fowler, CO) and the visiting Walsenburg Panthers (Walsenburg, CO), saw Fowler's basketball squad wallop Walsenburg by a tally of 60-35.
With the victory, Fowler improves its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Grizzlies host Holly (Holly, CO) to confront the Wildcats in a 3A/2A Santa Fe challenge on Saturday, January 6. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 6-1. Holly won 49-10 in their recent non-league challenge against Kit Carson (Kit Carson, CO)
Next up, the Panthers confront the Rocky Ford Meloneers (Rocky Ford, CO) in a 3A/2A Santa Fe challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Walsenburg will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Meloneers come into the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 72-16 non-league loss to Strasburg (Strasburg, CO).
