Taylor Ducks (Taylor, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Giddings Buffaloes (Giddings, TX), 51-49 in a league bout.

With the victory, Taylor upgrades its record to 6-14 on the campaign. The Ducks travel to Caldwell (Caldwell, TX) to play the Hornets in a 4A Region III District 22 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 11-14. Caldwell won 71-66 in their recent league bout against Manor New Tech (Manor, TX)
