Mississippi High School Basketball - Greenwood overwhelms Houston
January 5, 2024: Greenwood, MS 38930 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Greenwood Bulldogs (Greenwood, MS) and the visiting Houston Hilltoppers (Houston, MS), saw Greenwood's basketball squad wallop Houston by a tally of 73-46.
With the victory, Greenwood improves its record to 15-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Caledonia (Caledonia, MS) to confront the Cavaliers in a 4A Region 3 challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a record of 16-3. Caledonia won 71-66 in their recent league challenge against Louisville (Louisville, MS)
Next up, the Hilltoppers confront the Vardaman Rams (Vardaman, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 6. Houston will attempt to improve on its 4-13 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 5-9 record after their 63-54 league loss to Smithville (Smithville, MS).
