Alabama High School Basketball - Lauderdale County overwhelms Lexington
January 5, 2024: Rogersville, AL 35652 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Lauderdale County Tigers (Rogersville, AL) and the visiting Lexington Golden Bears (Lexington, AL), saw Lauderdale County's basketball squad wallop Lexington by a tally of 61-34.
With the victory, Lauderdale County improves its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Clements (Athens, AL) to play the Colts in a 3A Area 16 challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Colts come into the challenge with a record of 3-16. Clements lost 43-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Priceville (Priceville, AL)
Next up, the Golden Bears play the Sheffield Bulldogs (Sheffield, AL) in a 2A Area 16 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Lexington will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 0-12 record after their 60-47 league loss to Hatton (Town Creek, AL).
