January 5, 2024: Frisco, TX 75034 The Lone Star Rangers (Frisco, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting Newman Smith Trojans (Carrollton, TX), 69-59 in Friday's league test.
The Rangers (18-3) will now prepare for their test against The Colony (The Colony, TX). The Cougars go into the 5A Region II District 9 test with a 18-3 record. In their last test, The Colony notched a victory over Frisco (Frisco, TX), 69-63, in a league test.
The Trojans now own a 11-6 record. They play next when they host Turner for a 5A Region II District 9 test on Tuesday, January 9. Newman Smith will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 54-42 league loss to Reedy (Frisco, TX). The Lions record now stands at 15-5.
