Fans at Friday's league challenge between the McDonogh Eagles (Owings Mills, MD) and the visiting Loyola Blakefield Dons (Towson, MD), saw McDonogh's basketball squad hold off Loyola Blakefield by a tally of 67-62.

With the victory, McDonogh improves its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Maret (Washington, DC) to confront the Frogs in a non-league challenge on Sunday, January 7. The Frogs come into the challenge with a record of 10-3. Maret lost 70-61 in their recent non-league challenge against Georgetown Prep (North Bethesda, MD)
