Maryland High School Basketball - McDonogh holds off Loyola Blakefield
January 5, 2024: Owings Mills, MD 21117 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the McDonogh Eagles (Owings Mills, MD) and the visiting Loyola Blakefield Dons (Towson, MD), saw McDonogh's basketball squad hold off Loyola Blakefield by a tally of 67-62.
With the victory, McDonogh improves its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Maret (Washington, DC) to confront the Frogs in a non-league challenge on Sunday, January 7. The Frogs come into the challenge with a record of 10-3. Maret lost 70-61 in their recent non-league challenge against Georgetown Prep (North Bethesda, MD)
Next up, the Dons confront the Math Civics & Sciences Mighty Elephants (Philadelphia, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 13. Loyola Blakefield will attempt to improve on its 10-4 season record.
