January 5, 2024: Rantoul, IL 61866 The Rantoul Eagles (Rantoul, IL) basketball felled the visiting Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers (Paxton, IL), 42-23 in Friday's league test.
The Eagles (3-11) will now prepare for their test against Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL). The Hawks go into the Illini Prairie test with a 13-4 record. In their last test, Prairie Central thwarted St. Thomas More (Champaign, IL), 48-41, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 4-12 record. They play next when they host Tolono Unity for a Illini Prairie test on Friday, January 12. Paxton-Buckley-Loda will encounter a Rockets squad coming off a 74-70 non-league win over Tuscola (Tuscola, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 16-0.
