Tennessee High School Basketball - South Fulton can't hold off Union City
January 5, 2024: South Fulton, TN 38257 The Union City Golden Tornadoes basketball team scored 60 points and restricted the host South Fulton Red Devils to 55 in the Golden Tornadoes non-league victory on Friday.
The Golden Tornadoes now sport a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dresden for a 1A District 14 contest on Tuesday, January 9. Union City will battle a Lions team coming off a 51-35 league loss to Gleason (Gleason, TN). The Lions record now stands at 3-4.
The Red Devils (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against Lake County (Tiptonville, TN). The Falcons come into the 1A District 14 contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, Lake County was nudged by Obion County (Troy, TN), 58-45, in a non-league contest.
