New Jersey High School Basketball - South Plainfield nips Watchung Hills Regional
January 5, 2024: South Plainfield, NJ 07080 South Plainfield Tigers (South Plainfield, NJ) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Watchung Hills Regional Warriors (Warren, NJ), 54-53 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, South Plainfield upgrades its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Tigers host North Plainfield (North Plainfield, NJ) to play the Canucks in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Canucks come into the bout with a record of 3-5. North Plainfield lost 79-46 in their recent league bout against Woodbridge (Woodbridge, NJ)
Next up, the Warriors play the Ridge Red Devil (Basking Ridge, NJ) in a Skyland - Raritan bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Watchung Hills Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record. The Red Devil come into the bout with a 8-1 record after their 79-45 non-league win over Morristown (Morristown, NJ).
