Buckfield Bucks (Buckfield, ME) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Islesboro Central Eagles (Islesboro, ME), 35-16 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Buckfield upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Bucks travel to Richmond (Richmond, ME) to play the Bobcats in a C South bout on Monday, January 8. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 6-2. Richmond won 52-27 in their recent non-league bout against Forest Hills (Jackman, ME)

Next up, the Eagles play the Temple Academy Bereans (Waterville, ME) in a D South bout, on Saturday, January 6. Islesboro Central will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Bereans come into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 46-29 non-league loss to Buckfield (Buckfield, ME).
