January 5, 2024: Chelsea, AL 35043 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Hewitt-Trussville Huskies (Trussville, AL) and the host Chelsea Hornets (Chelsea, AL), saw Hewitt-Trussville's basketball squad hold off Chelsea by a tally of 44-38.
With the victory, Hewitt-Trussville improves its record to 17-4 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Mill Creek (Hoschton, GA) to play the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 6. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 9-3. Mill Creek won 43-34 in their recent league challenge against Central Gwinnett (Lawrenceville, GA)
Next up, the Hornets play the Spain Park Jaguars (Hoover, AL) in a 7A Area 6 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Chelsea will attempt to improve on its 20-3 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 7-14 record after their 38-34 league win over Oak Mountain (Birmingham, AL).
