Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Gerstell Academy (Finksburg, MD) and the host Mount de Sales Academy Sailors (Catonsville, MD), saw Gerstell Academy's basketball squad knock off Mount de Sales Academy by a tally of 51-39.

With the victory, Gerstell Academy improves its record to 4-5 on the campaign. The travel to Westminster (Westminster, MD) to play the Owls in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 8. The Owls come into the challenge with a record of 3-3. Westminster lost 50-43 in their recent league challenge against Manchester Valley (Manchester, MD)
