The Highland Hornets basketball team scored 69 points and held the visiting Trent Gorillas to 14 in the Hornets league triumph on Friday.

The Hornets now sport a 5-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ira for a 1A Region II District 14 contest on Tuesday, January 9.

The Gorillas (6-12) will now prepare for their contest against Texas Leadership Charter Academy - Abilene (Abilene, TX). The Eagles enter the 1A Region II District 14 contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, Texas Leadership Charter Academy - Abilene was routed by Hermleigh (Hermleigh, TX), 80-4, in a league contest.
