Monticello Magic (Monticello, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Princeton Tigers (Princeton, MN), 63-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Monticello upgrades its record to 12-1 on the season. The Magic travel to Big Lake (Big Lake, MN) to clash with the Hornets in a AAA Section 5 bout on Friday, January 12. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 4-6.

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Byron Bears (Byron, MN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. Princeton will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 7-2 record after their 46-45 non-league loss to Goodhue (Goodhue, MN).
