January 5, 2024: Ridgeview, SD 57652 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Newell Irrigators (Newell, SD) and the host Tiospaye Topa Thunderhawks (Ridgeview, SD), saw Newell's basketball squad wallop Tiospaye Topa by a tally of 81-51.
With the victory, Newell improves its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Irrigators host Moorcroft (Moorcroft, WY) to confront the Wolves in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Wolves come into the challenge with a record of 1-5. Moorcroft lost 58-27 in their recent non-league challenge against Upton (Upton, WY)
Next up, the Thunderhawks confront the Bison Cardinals (Bison, SD) in a B Region 8 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Tiospaye Topa will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 1-6 record after their 70-27 non-league loss to Carter County (Ekalaka, MT).
