January 5, 2024: Coeburn, VA 24230 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Eastside Spartans (Coeburn, VA) and the visiting Rye Cove Eagles (Clinchport, VA), saw Eastside's basketball squad overcome Rye Cove by a tally of 37-20.
With the victory, Eastside improves its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Twin Springs (Nickelsville, VA) to confront the Titans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 5-1. Twin Springs won 42-10 in their recent non-league challenge against Castlewood (Castlewood, VA)
Next up, the Eagles confront the J.I. Burton Black Raiders (Norton, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Rye Cove will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Black Raiders come into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 41-12 non-league win over Castlewood (Castlewood, VA).
