California High School Basketball - Leland nips Pioneer
January 5, 2024: San Jose, CA 95118 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Leland Chargers (San Jose, CA) and the host Pioneer Mustangs (San Jose, CA), saw Leland's basketball squad hold off Pioneer by a count of 46-42.
With the victory, Leland upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Gunderson (San Jose, CA) to play the Grizzlies in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 6. The Grizzlies come into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Gunderson won 48-42 in their recent league challenge against Del Mar (San Jose, CA)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Willow Glen Rams (San Jose, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 10. Pioneer will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 54-29 non-league loss to Burlingame (Burlingame, CA).
