Massachusetts High School Basketball - Melrose overwhelms Malden
January 5, 2025: Melrose, MA 02176 The Melrose Red Raiders basketball team scored 64 points and limited the visiting Malden Golden Tornados to 30 in the Red Raiders non-league triumph on Sunday.
The Red Raiders now possess a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Winchester for a Middlesex game on Tuesday, January 7. Melrose will play a Red & Black team coming off a 68-42 league win over Woburn Memorial (Woburn, MA). The Red & Black record now stands at 4-1.
With the loss, Malden falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Golden tornados host Medford (Medford, MA) to play the Mustangs in a Greater Boston game on Wednesday, January 8. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 3-4. Medford won 73-63 in their recent non-league game against Billerica Memorial (Billerica, MA)
