Massachusetts High School Basketball - Melrose bests Somerville
December 28, 2024: Somerville, MA 02143 The Melrose Red Raiders basketball team scored 57 points and limited the host Somerville Highlanders to 46 in the Red Raiders non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Red Raiders now possess a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Burlington for a Middlesex game on Friday, January 3. Melrose will play a Red Devils team coming off a 57-36 non-league loss to Tewksbury Memorial (Tewksbury, MA). The Red Devils record now stands at 4-1.
With the loss, Somerville falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Highlanders travel to Medford (Medford, MA) to play the Mustangs in a Greater Boston game on Thursday, January 2. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 2-4. Medford lost 58-41 in their recent non-league game against Greater Lawrence Tech (Andover, MA)
