The Mead Mavericks basketball team scored 88 points and held the host Greeley Central Wildcats to 52 in the Mavericks league triumph on Thursday.

The Mavericks now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Severance for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 8. Mead will battle a Silver Knights team coming off a 82-67 league win over Mountain View (Loveland, CO). The Silver Knights record now stands at 3-6.

The Wildcats (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Erie (Erie, CO). The Tigers enter the 5A/4A Northern contest with a 2-7 record. In their last contest, Erie was routed by Skyline (Longmont, CO), 50-47, in a league contest.
