Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Ridgecroft Rams (Ahoskie, NC) and the visiting Halifax Academy Vikings (Roanoke Rapids, NC), saw Ridgecroft's basketball squad wallop Halifax Academy by a tally of 71-42.

With the victory, Ridgecroft improves its record to 10-0 on the campaign. The Rams host Terra Ceia Christian (Pantego, NC) to confront the Knights in a NCISAA Tarheel challenge on Friday, January 7. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 4-5. Terra Ceia Christian won 83-50 in their recent league challenge against Northeast Academy (Lasker, NC)

Next up, the Vikings confront the Faith Christian Patriots (Rocky Mount, NC) in a NCISAA Carolina Independent challenge, on Tuesday, January 11. Halifax Academy will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 7-8 record after their 56-52 league loss to Rocky Mount Academy (Rocky Mount, NC).
