The Bad Axe Hatchets basketball team scored 47 points and held the host Cass City Red Hawks to 46 in the Hatchets league triumph on Thursday.

The Hatchets now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Vassar for a Greater Thumb - West contest on Thursday, January 20.

The Red Hawks (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Unionville-Sebewaing (Sebewaing, MI). The Patriots enter the Greater Thumb - West contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Unionville-Sebewaing was nudged by Sandusky (Sandusky, MI), 73-28, in a non-league contest.
