Seneca Bobcats (Erie, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Saegertown Panthers (Saegertown, PA), 52-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Seneca upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Bobcats travel to Maplewood (Guys Mills, PA) to play the Tigers in a District 10 Region 2 bout on Monday, January 10. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 6-1. Maplewood won 54-33 in their recent league bout against Union City (Union City, PA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Franklin Knights (Franklin, PA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 8. Saegertown will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 31-25 league loss to Slippery Rock (Slippery Rock, PA).
