Georgia High School Basketball - Islands overwhelmed by Benedictine
January 6, 2023: Savannah, GA 31406 The Islands Sharks basketball team (Savannah, GA), was overwhelmed 86-48 in Friday's league battle with the host Benedictine Cadets (Savannah, GA)
The Cadets now possess a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Burke County for a AAAA Region 3 battle on Tuesday, January 10. Benedictine will confront a Bears team coming off a 56-43 league win over Wayne County (Jesup, GA). The Bears record now stands at 7-4.
The Sharks (3-11) will now prepare for their battle against Southeast Bulloch (Brooklet, GA). The Yellowjackets come into the AAAA Region 3 battle with a 3-9 record. In their last battle, Southeast Bulloch trounced Bryan County (Pembroke, GA), 75-71, in a non-league battle.
