Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Calhoun City Wildcats (Calhoun City, MS) and the visiting Bruce Trojans (Bruce, MS), saw Calhoun City's basketball squad hold off Bruce by a tally of 60-53.

With the victory, Calhoun City improves its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Choctaw County (Ackerman, MS) to play the Chargers in a 2A Region 4 challenge on Friday, January 13. The Chargers come into the challenge with a record of 12-6.

Next up, the Trojans play the Eupora Eagles (Eupora, MS) in a 2A Region 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Bruce will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record.
