Washington High School Basketball - Central Kitsap can't get by Yelm
January 6, 2023: Yelm, WA 98597 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Yelm Tornados (Yelm, WA) and the visiting Central Kitsap Cougars (Silverdale, WA), saw Yelm's basketball squad hold off Central Kitsap by a count of 63-60.
With the victory, Yelm upgrades its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Tornados host Lakes (Lakewood, WA) to play the Lancers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Lancers come into the challenge with a record of 1-9. Lakes lost 72-59 in their recent league challenge against Mount Tahoma (Tacoma, WA)
Next up, the Cougars play the Capital Cougars (Olympia, WA) in a 3A South Sound challenge, on Wednesday, January 11. Central Kitsap will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 83-43 league win over River Ridge (Lacey, WA).
