Tennessee High School Basketball - Monterey overwhelms Clarkrange
January 6, 2023: Clarkrange, TN 38553 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Monterey Wildcats (Monterey, TN) and the host Clarkrange Buffaloes (Clarkrange, TN), saw Monterey's basketball squad wallop Clarkrange by a tally of 66-33.
With the victory, Monterey improves its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to York Institute (Jamestown, TN) to play the Dragons in a 2A District 5 challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Dragons come into the challenge with a record of 8-6. York Institute won 74-37 in their recent league challenge against Sequatchie County (Dunlap, TN)
Next up, the Buffaloes play the Oneida Indians (Oneida, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 7. Clarkrange will attempt to improve on its 3-10 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 8-6 record after their 63-27 league win over Wartburg Central (Wartburg, TN).
