The Falls Lake Firebirds basketball squad scored 80 points and limited the visiting Clover Garden School Grizzlies to 38 in the Firebirds non-league win on Friday.

With the win, Falls Lake upgrades its record to 6-7 on the season. The Firebirds host Research Triangle (Research Triangle Park, NC) to clash with the Raptors in a 1A/2A Conference 12 match on Tuesday, January 10. The Raptors enter the match with a record of 3-9. Research Triangle lost 68-29 in their recent non-league match against Chatham Charter (Siler City, NC)

With the defeat, Clover Garden School moves to 2-14 on the year. The Grizzlies host Graham (Graham, NC) to meet the Red Devils in a non-league match on Monday, January 9.
