Maryland High School Basketball - Francis Scott Key knocked off by Westminster
January 6, 2023: Westminster, MD 21157 The Westminster Owls basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting Francis Scott Key Eagles to 56 in the Owls league triumph on Friday.
The Owls now sport a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Century for a Carroll County contest on Tuesday, January 10. Westminster will battle a Knights team coming off a 64-53 league loss to Manchester Valley (Manchester, MD). The Knights record now stands at 6-3.
The Eagles (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against Manchester Valley (Manchester, MD). The Mavericks enter the Carroll County contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Manchester Valley ran past Century (Sykesville, MD), 64-53, in a league contest.
