January 6, 2023: Riverview, MI 48192 Richard Pioneers (Riverview, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Gabriel Richard Fighting Irish (Ann Arbor, MI), 62-48 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Richard upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Pioneers travel to Greenhills (Ann Arbor, MI) to clash with the Gryphons in a Catholic Intersectional I bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Gryphons go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Greenhills won 61-46 in their recent non-league bout against Divine Child (Dearborn, MI)
Next up, the Fighting Irish clash with the Bishop Foley Ventures (Madison Heights, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Gabriel Richard will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Ventures go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 65-39 league win over Shrine Catholic (Royal Oak, MI).
