Ohio High School Basketball - Gilmour Academy nips Hawken
January 6, 2023: Gates Mills, OH 44040 Gilmour Academy Lancers (Gates Mills, OH) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Hawken Hawks (Gates Mills, OH), 59-53 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Gilmour Academy upgrades its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to Maple Heights (Maple Heights, OH) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Sunday, January 8. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 7-4. Maple Heights won 80-76 in their recent non-league bout against Glenville (Cleveland, OH)
Next up, the Hawks play the Beachwood Bison (Beachwood, OH) in a Chagrin Valley - Chagrin bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Hawken will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Bison come into the bout with a 8-2 record after their 87-62 non-league win over Harvey (Painesville, OH).
