Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Midland Valley Mustangs (Graniteville, SC) and the visiting Greenwood Eagles (Greenwood, SC), saw Midland Valley's basketball squad wallop Greenwood by a tally of 62-41.

With the victory, Midland Valley improves its record to 10-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Augusta Christian (Martinez, GA) to play the Lions in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 16-4. Augusta Christian won 72-60 in their recent league challenge against Ben Lippen (Columbia, SC)

Next up, the Eagles play the Easley Green Wave (Easley, SC) in a AAAA Region 1 challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Greenwood will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record. The Green Wave come into the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 62-58 non-league loss to Woodmont (Piedmont, SC).
