In Friday's non-league outing, the Lincoln County Patriots (Stanford, KY) basketball squad beat the visiting Southwestern Warriors (Somerset, KY), by a margin of 49-30.

The Patriots (8-3) will now prepare for their outing against McCreary Central (Stearns, KY). The Raiders go into the non-league outing with a 5-4 record.

Next up, the Warriors play the Bowling Green Purples (Bowling Green, KY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. Southwestern will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Purples come into the bout with a 11-1 record after their 55-50 league win over South Warren (Bowling Green, KY).
