Stamford Black Knights (Stamford, CT) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host St. Joseph Cadets (Trumbull, CT), 61-54 in a league bout.

With the victory, Stamford upgrades its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Black Knights host McMahon (Norwalk, CT) to play the Senators in a Fairfield County bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Senators come into the bout with a record of 3-2. McMahon lost 58-44 in their recent league bout against Greenwich (Greenwich, CT)

Next up, the Cadets play the Warde Mustangs (Fairfield, CT) in a Fairfield County battle, on Tuesday, January 10. St. Joseph will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Mustangs come into the battle with a 4-1 record after their 73-65 league win over Wilton (Wilton, CT).
