In Friday's league match, the host Gunter Tigers basketball team scored a decisive 43-12 triumph over the Howe Bulldogs.

In their next game, the Tigers meet the Bonham Warriors (Bonham, TX) in a 3A Region II District 11 match, on Tuesday, January 10. Gunter will attempt to better on its 19-7 season record.

With the defeat, Howe moves to 4-13 on the year. The Bulldogs host Blue Ridge (Blue Ridge, TX) to meet the Tigers in a 3A Region II District 11 match on Tuesday, January 10. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 3-19. Blue Ridge lost 50-41 in their recent league match against Leonard (Leonard, TX)
