January 6, 2023: Heavener, OK 74937 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Hartshorne Miners (Hartshorne, OK) and the host Heavener Wolves (Heavener, OK), saw Hartshorne's basketball squad wallop Heavener by a tally of 74-51.
With the victory, Hartshorne improves its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Miners travel to Talihina (Talihina, OK) to confront the Golden Tigers in a Black Diamond challenge on Monday, January 9. The Golden Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 1-5. Talihina lost 54-19 in their recent league challenge against Pocola (Pocola, OK)
Next up, the Wolves confront the Poteau Pirates (Poteau, OK) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 9. Heavener will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 53-27 league loss to Stilwell (Stilwell, OK).
