Maryland High School Basketball - North Point nips Westlake
January 6, 2023: Waldorf, MD 20603 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the North Point Eagles (Waldorf, MD) and the visiting Westlake Wolverines (Waldorf, MD), saw North Point's basketball squad hold off Westlake by a count of 45-38.
With the victory, North Point upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Eagles host La Plata (La Plata, MD) to play the Warriors in a Southern Maryland challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 0-5. La Plata lost 59-14 in their recent league challenge against McDonough (Pomfret, MD)
Next up, the Wolverines play the McDonough Rams (Pomfret, MD) in a Southern Maryland challenge, on Wednesday, January 11. Westlake will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 56-6 league win over Chopticon (Morganza, MD).
