Salisbury Hornets (Salisbury, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Lexington Yellowjackets (Lexington, NC), 43-30 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Salisbury upgrades its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to West Davidson (Lexington, NC) to play the Dragons in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 11. The Dragons come into the bout with a record of 1-8.

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Thomasville Bulldogs (Thomasville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 13. Lexington will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record.
