Christopher Bearcats (Christopher, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Johnston City Indians (Johnston City, IL), 71-57 in a league bout.

With the victory, Christopher upgrades its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to Zeigler-Royalton (Zeigler, IL) to play the Tornadoes in a Black Diamond - West bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Tornadoes come into the bout with a record of 6-10.
