California High School Basketball - Las Plumas nips Corning

Las Plumas Thunderbirds (Oroville, CA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Corning Cardinals (Corning, CA), 54-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Las Plumas upgrades its record to 12-7 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds host Oroville (Oroville, CA) to play the Tigers in a Butte View bout on Wednesday, January 10. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 6-9. Oroville won 58-48 in their recent non-league bout against Portola (Portola, CA)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Gridley Bulldogs (Gridley, CA) in a Butte View test, on Tuesday, January 9. Corning will attempt to advance on its 8-9 season record. The Bulldogs go into the test with a 12-5 record after their 64-51 non-league win over Foothill (Sacramento, CA).
