Mississippi High School Basketball - Meridian tops D'Iberville
January 6, 2024: D'Iberville, MS 39532 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Meridian Wildcats (Meridian, MS) and the host D'Iberville Warriors (D'Iberville, MS), saw Meridian's basketball squad knock off D'Iberville by a tally of 44-34.
With the victory, Meridian improves its record to 11-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Petal (Petal, MS) to play the Panthers in a 7A Region 3 challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 10-8. Petal won 66-47 in their recent league challenge against Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, MS)
Next up, the Warriors play the Harrison Central Red Rebels (Gulfport, MS) in a 7A Region 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. D'Iberville will attempt to improve on its 7-13 season record. The Red Rebels come into the challenge with a 11-7 record after their 74-59 non-league loss to Presbyterian Christian (Hattiesburg, MS).
