Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Brandon Bulldogs (Brandon, MS) and the visiting Meridian Wildcats (Meridian, MS), saw Brandon's basketball squad hold off Meridian by a tally of 69-68.

With the victory, Brandon upgrades its record to 12-9 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Petal (Petal, MS) to clash with the Panthers in a 7A Region 3 outing on Tuesday, January 16. The Panthers go into the outing with a record of 10-10.

The Wildcats now hold a 12-7 record. They play next when they travel to Bay Springs for a non-league outing on Saturday, January 13. Meridian will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 70-46 league win over Lake (Lake, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-4.
