The Evergreen Christian Eagles basketball team scored 83 points and held the host Southern Maryland Christian Academy Mustangs to 45 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Eagles now sport a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Virginia Academy for a Northern Virginia contest on Monday, January 8. Evergreen Christian will battle a Patriots team coming off a 60-57 league win over Fairfax HomeSchool (Fairfax, VA). The Patriots record now stands at 3-13.

The Mustangs (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Lanham Christian (Lanham, MD). The Lions enter the Maryland Independent League contest with a 10-2 record. In their last contest, Lanham Christian was routed by Fairfax Christian (Dulles, VA), 79-54, in a non-league contest.
