Virginia High School Basketball - Gate City topples Tennessee
January 6, 2024: Gate City, VA 24251 In Saturday's non-league outing, the Gate City Blue Devils (Gate City, VA) basketball squad beat the visiting Tennessee Vikings (Bristol, TN), by a count of 65-52.
The Blue Devils (4-3) will now prepare for their outing against Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA). The Wolfpack go into the Mountain outing with a 5-2 record. In their last outing, Ridgeview was topped by Union (Big Stone Gap, VA), 48-46, in a league outing.
The Vikings now hold a 7-11 record. They play next when they host Unicoi County for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 9. Tennessee will clash with a Blue Devils squad coming off a 64-55 league win over David Crockett (Jonesborough, TN). The Blue Devils record now stands at 17-4.
