New Mexico High School Basketball - Carlsbad topped by Artesia
January 6, 2024: Artesia, NM 88210 The Artesia Bulldogs basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Carlsbad Cavemen to 33 in the Bulldogs league victory on Saturday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Portales for a contest on Monday, January 8. Artesia will battle a Rams team coming off a 33-32 non-league win over Artesia (Artesia, NM). The Rams record now stands at 3-7.
The Cavemen (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM). The Rams come into the non-league contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, Rio Rancho prevailed over Capital (Santa Fe, NM), 86-36, in a non-league contest.
