Watford City Wolves (Watford City, ND) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host New England Tigers (New England, ND), 51-41 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Watford City upgrades its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Wolves host Valley City (Valley City, ND) to play the Hi-Liners in a non-league bout on Friday, January 12. The Hi-Liners come into the bout with a record of 4-4.

Next up, the Tigers play the Flasher Bulldogs (Flasher, ND) in a B District 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. New England will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 59-37 league win over South Heart (South Heart, ND).
