January 6, 2024: Waukomis, OK 73773 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Pioneer-Pleasant Vale Mustangs (Waukomis, OK) and the visiting Sharon-Mutual Trojans (Mutual, OK), saw Pioneer-Pleasant Vale's basketball squad hold off Sharon-Mutual by a tally of 30-27.
With the victory, Pioneer-Pleasant Vale improves its record to 2-8 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Covington-Douglas (Covington, OK) to play the Wildcats in a Skeltur challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 3-8. Covington-Douglas won 37-31 in their recent non-league challenge against Waynoka (Waynoka, OK)
Next up, the Trojans play the Mooreland Bearcats (Mooreland, OK) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 12. Sharon-Mutual will attempt to improve on its 4-10 season record.
